About Eva

Eva attended Purdue University with the intent to be an engineer, yet two years into the program she decided it wasn’t really for her. She wanted to be more hands on. Her career counselor suggested Eva take a Construction Management Class and Eva loved it! She went on to complete the Construction Management program. After graduating, traveled to St. Louis and worked for the Jones Company (now Pulte Homes) and in 2009 joined Payne Family Homes and the rest is history. For the last two years Eva has been a Judge for the National Association of Home Builders (NAHB) Residential Construction Management Competition for NAHB Student Chapter members.

When people think about construction they think about building houses and it’s so much more.

Payne Family Homes and St. Jude’s Dream Home

Payne Family Homes has been working with St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital for 4 years now building Dream Homes here in St. Louis. It all started February 6th with construction. Dozens of volunteers have been involved in the making the St. Jude Dream Home a reality in St. Louis.

From Payne Family Homes’ website – “Payne Family Homes is so excited to be the 2017 St. Louis St. Jude Dream Home builder. This marks our 4th year to have the honor of building a one-of-a-kind home for St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital. We’ve raised more than $4 million with the giveaway of this home for St. Jude and this will be our best year yet!

2017’s Dream Home will be The Montego II at Ashford Knoll in Cottleville! This home features soaring 12-ft ceilings, a gourmet kitchen, spa-inspired luxury master bath, fully finished lower level, a basketball court, a media room with a secret door and staircase, a 5-car garage, and so much more! Ashford Knoll is conveniently located off of Highway N just east of Highway K, minutes from I-70, Hwy 40/64 and Highway 364.

Construction officially began on February 6th and tickets are on sale now. The live drawing of prizes and winners will be announced on September 7th.”

Payne Family Homes is one of a handful of builders in the nation providing St. Jude with a 100 percent donated home. Just as one example, this year there were three construction companies who came together to frame this 5,000 square foot home and it went up in one weekend.

If you can do something to help these kids or to help a higher cause or a better mission, and that’s what the Payne family is all about.

“If you’re willing and you’re able, then do it” – Cindy Roche of Payne Family Homes
