CRH Interior Design + Custom Build offers you an alternative to standard interior design and home construction. We exclusively custom build Insulated Concrete Form (ICF) residential homes with the highest standard for safety, comfort and efficiency. They take a health and wellness approach to building a home and are integrating it into design and remodel projects as well. CRHDB and Green Home Coach have partnered on a few projects.

CRH Design Build is female owned and operated. CRH supports the local Oklahoma City community and developing the next generation of design/construction professionals though partnerships with Professional Women In Building (PWB), National Kitchen and Bath Association (NKBA) and the Central Oklahoma Home Builders Association (COHBA), International Interior Designers Association (IIDA), to mention a few! Christy and I helped to bring Build My Future – a 1-day hands-on construction career day – to the Oklahoma City metro.

Looking for an easy sustainable design upgrade recommendation? Try WaterSense certified plumbing fixtures. (Did the picture give it away? )

If we were to create an infographic for this WaterSense certified showerhead, we’d not only point out that it’s B.E.A.U.T.I.F.U.L. (which is obvious), but that it’s been re-engineered to perform as well or better than older versions…properly nicknamed “water gobblers”. Options like this swanky showerhead use less than 2.0 gallons of water per minute.

Gorgeous and functional…upgrades like these just make SENSE. (pun MAYBE intended ).

I love meeting designers like @CRHDesignBuild who work towards healthier, more sustainable homes. If you’re building new or renovating, it just doesn’t make sense to skip easy upgrades that are better for your health, wallet, and your home’s longevity.

Want a behind-the-scenes view of a health and wellness home remodel?

We’d already planned on doing a remodel with @CRHDesignBuild because we knew she was open to working on a greener, healthier project. We also had some repairs that were needing to get done. Fortunately, the remodel allowed us to get a better view of those problems, giving us peace of mind that not only would we be creating a home that works better for how we live, but we’d be fixing the needed repairs the right way.

I’m excited to walk you through the whole process as it unfolds, sharing the decisions we made and why. But for today, since it’s #WorldEnvironmentDay, I’m going to leave you with a bit of encouragement, and that is, that when you take steps to affect your health for the better, those choices are naturally better for the environment as well. It can be something as simple as swapping out your laundry detergent, or something extensive as a home remodel.

Make sure to click “follow” so you can catch each of the choices we made in our new remodel and how they contribute to a healthier, more comfortable home (which double win, is better for the environment!).

Design and build ICF homes for health and comfort.
