Spring Home Projects – Get Started with Home and Garden Shows
March is here and you know what that means – spring home projects! Get out those gardening shears, ready the potting soil and prepare to garden. That’s right March is the perfect time to begin readying yourself and your garden. I know in the warmer months I love having a garden, whether it is for the aesthetics and all the beautiful colors or for the more practicalities of have fresh, free, and organic vegetables for your taking. No matter what your end goal, it’s a fantastic and rewarding hobby.
These warmer months are not just for your yard though. Start thinking about home improvements either inside or outside your home. Spring is the perfect time to open the windows or be outside to enjoy the weather. If you’re not sure how to start don’t worry, there are tons of resources and helpful hints online to get you started. Our Hometown Show – The St. Louis Home and Garden Show
The St. Louis Home and Garden show has been around for over 35 years and is still going strong. This Event features tons of booths that have helpful hints, tricks, tools and tips to get you started on any home improvement project. This Show goes on for four days from March 6-9th and is open from 10a.m. to 9p.m. on March 6th, 7th, and 8th. On the 9th they wrap it up early and are only open from 10a.m. to 5p.m. Prices and special discounts are located on the event page here.
There are many booths and sponsors in this show and they range from landscaping, roofing, blinds, and green products. Getting ready to plant a garden? Doing a big home remodel or face lift? While these projects are fun and easy to think about and plan “the Devil is in the details”. Questions like, “where do I start?”, “What should I buy?” or ways to handle unforeseen problems are all part of the planning process. Home and Garden shows will not only give you great ideas on where to take your project and how to start but, a wide range of vendors can give you help to make sure that, when or if, those problems arise you have the know-how and the tools to power through it.
