So many times when we are talking about our homes, we talk about what needs to be improved, fixed, updated, replaced or changed. We seem to often talk about what we perceive is “wrong.” Working in the home building industry, of course we want homeowners to see what is “wrong” so we can work with you on “making it right, better, improved….whatever.”

Today, I’d like to offer a different perspective. Today, how about thinking about all the things that you are thankful for in your home. A few of my own “thank you’s to my home” may get you thinking of your own.

Thank you home for…

  • providing me with shelter and a comfortable, pleasing place to gather with family and friends
  • keeping the cold out in the winter and the cool in in the summer
  • having lots of light to keep my surroundings bright and cheery
  • being more than a house, being my home!

Seth Godin’s The Thanksgiving Reader offers great snippets of gratitude to share with you and yours. I hope you enjoy sharing it. To learn more about the story behind this to-be-shared-out-loud booklet, check out Seth’s introduction.

Thanksgiving serves as a reminder of how much we have in life. I wish you a life full of gratitude and thanks in everything you do. Happy Thanksgiving and blessings.
