The Action of Giving Thanks
“Thanksgiving, after all, is a word of action.” W.J. Cameron
Action is just up my alley. The action of giving thanks really hit home. It dawned on me recently that celebrating Thanksgiving and then Christmas made sense to me. The time of giving thanks puts me in a better place, a place of gratitude for the many wonderful people and good things in our life. It’s been a much bumpier year than anticipated – we thought we were done with that in 2016. Yet, looking back on the past year in preparation to celebrate our first anniversary and Thanksgiving (funny how those worked out together) reminded me of the many reasons I am so thankful. Thankful especially for the wonderful people in our lives and how they always seem to show up just when needed most. That includes you. I am thankful for you.
